The involvement of peripheral nerves by Hansen’s disease can be detectable even in the absence of skin lesions in the early stages of the disease, and during the chronic course, manifesting late or abruptly during the inflammatory episodes represented by hansenic reactions. Knowing the main subsequent clinical changes is essential to minimize the consequences and disabilities resulting from this fact.</p>
