The known prevalence, in the area of Pita is 1.23%. 246 patients has been detected: 36 multibacillary and 210 paucibacillary. The sex-ratio of the patients has changed, during one year, toward the men. With the sensitivity of the local population, number of detected cases is increasing and the rate of regular attendance at treatment is correct in 87.6% of cases.</p>
