Leprosy is a chronic, granulomatous, destructive disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae. The disease primarily affects peripheral nerves, skin, eyes and nose. Musculoskeletal system, testis and other systems may be involved as well. (1) Several modalities e.g. x-ray, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound (US) can be used either for the diagnosis or for monitoring relevant complications of the disease. In this paper, we will mainly focus on US imaging which has recently gained intriguing concern in the realm of dermatology.
