This paper will first review literature regarding NTDs and development, followed by the current situation in Ghana and what is being done to address endemic diseases. Additionally, the relationship between HIV/AIDS and development will be assessed, first through an examination of the literature and then through Ghana’s approach to HIV/AIDS. This paper will conclude with an analysis of the disparities between support for NTDs and HIV/AIDS and opportunities for further research.
