Call for Proposals: Anesvad Foundation Awards Tenth Edition
The Anesvad Foundation’s solidarity work, always in the field of health, has been ongoing for more than 50 years. In 2015, the organization’s Board of Trustees launched the Solidarity and Cooperation Awards, with the aim of rewarding the work of Development Cooperation institutions and entities, in the field of health, in Sub-Saharan Africa and with a focus on Neglected Tropical Diseases. The initiative has been gaining momentum and has become a significant event in the life of the organisation, with 43 awards having been presented to entities and/or individuals who defend and promote the Right to Health of populations in vulnerable situations in Africa, and especially those who suffer the effects of Neglected Tropical Diseases.
In 2025, the Anesvad Foundation's will celebrate the 10th Edition of the Anesvad Foundation Awards, in an attempt to further promote and highlight the work of other entities that defend and support the Right to Health of vulnerable populations and individuals in Sub-Saharan Africa. The focus will be on those that share our mission, to improve the well-being of people, families and communities affected by Neglected Tropical Diseases in that area.
The Anesvad Foundation's would like to invite you to take part in this tenth edition of the awards, which are in four categories:
- 20.000€ prize for clinical innovation in the treatment of skin NTDs
- 20.000€ prize for impact on environmental, social and economic factors to prevent skin NTDs
- 20.000€ prize for stimulating critical thought about the nexus Health and Development
- 20.000€ prize for a whole career
The deadline to submit entries is CET 11.59 PM on 26th of February. The awards will be presented on 8th May at an event to be held in the Palacio Euskalduna, Bilbao. See their website for more information.
