CAMHRED - Cameroon Health Research and Evidence Database
The Cameroon Health Research and Evidence Database is a repository of studies published from 1999 onwards on the Cameroonian population’s health and health system. The database is intended as a support tool for researchers, policymakers, students, health professionals and funding agencies interested in conducting and using the findings of health research in Cameroon.
CAMHRED includes peer-reviewed journal articles published in English and French with several research foci (medicine, nursing, health economics, health policy, social determinants of health, human genetics); research types (primary, secondary) and research designs (quantitative, qualitative, mixed methods). The database compiles studies from indexed and non-indexed journals and catalogues them according to the year of publication, language, study location, study design, and content. The database also allows for a guided search of studies according to a taxonomy of content areas. Search results are available for download in csv format.
CAMHRED can be used to identify studies needed to create local evidence maps; conduct knowledge/ funding gap analyses; inform priority setting exercises and decision-making for policy development.
