Anetoderma as a Cutaneous Manifestation of Leprosy: A Report of Two Cases
Abstract
Anetodermas (from the Greek: antes = flat; dermas = skin), or macular atrophies, are localized areas of tissue loss and elastic tissue degeneration, resulting in flaccid skin and herniation. Primary anetoderma occurs independently, while secondary anetoderma follows pre-existing skin disease. Herein, we report two cases of lepromatous leprosy presenting with anetoderma in the skin.
