A enfermagem no cuidado ao paciente portador de hanseníase multibacilar

Portuguese Abstract:

A hanseníase é uma doença que pode ser identificada e contida facilmente, contudo expressa preocupação. Ainda que seja possível prevenir é uma doença negligenciada por grande parte da população, afetando os indivíduos, as restrições e estigmas a ela associados.

Objetivo: Identificar de que forma a enfermagem atua no cuidado ao paciente portador de hanseníase multibacilar.

Metodologia: Estudo trata- se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura. Foram utilizados artigos científicos das bases de dados: Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS), Literatura Latino – Americana em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), e a bases de dados Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SCIELO).

Resultados: Dos estudos selecionados quanto à abordagem metodológica 80% são qualitativos, 13% dos artigos são quantitativos e 7% quanti-qualitativos. Em relação aos objetivos 33% são descritivos, 33% exploratórios, 27% são estudos descritivos-exploratórios e 7% são explicativos.

Considerações Finais: A atuação da enfermagem é fundamental no cuidado ao paciente portador de hanseníase multibacilar, pois como se sabe, essa doença é complexa e apesar de ser prevenível e curável, urge a necessidade de se manter uma abordagem multidisciplinar sensível às dificuldades vivenciadas pelo indivíduo afetado.

English Abstract:

Introduction: Leprosyisadiseasethatcanbeidentifiedandcontainedeasily,butexpressesconcern.Even though it is possible to prevent it, it is a disease that is neglected by a large part of the population, affecting individuals, the restrictions and stigma associated with it.

Objective: to identify how nursing works in caring for patients with multibacillary leprosy.

Methodology: This study is an integrative review of the literature. Scientific articles from the following databases were used: Virtual Health Library (VHL), Latin American Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), and the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) databases. RESULTS: Of the studies selected regarding the methodological approach, 80% are qualitative, 13% of the articles are quantitative and 7% quantitative-qualitative. In relation to the objectives, 33% are descriptive, 33% exploratory, 27% are descriptive-exploratory studies and 7% are explanatory.

Final Considerations: Nursing work is fundamental in the care of patients with multibacillary leprosy, because as we know, this disease is complex and despite being preventable and curable, there is an urgent need to maintain a multidisciplinary approach that is sensitive to the difficulties experienced by the individual affected.
