Restoration of hand sensation in Hansen’s disease by transfer of the superficial branch of the radial nerve to the median nerve

Loss of hand sensations in Hansen’s disease (HD) leads to major disability which compromises the patient’s quality of life. We report the first case of sensory restoration in the hand in Hansen’s disease by transfer of a superficial branch of the radial nerve to the median nerve.
